B.Sc. Computer Science program focuses on computer fundamentals, programming languages, and software development. Overview

The Department of Computer Science, established in 1988 under the affiliation of the University of Madras, has been dedicated to producing highly qualified science graduates for our society. In 1997, we expanded our offerings to include a PG Programme, and in 2008 and we were recognized as a research center by Periyar University for M.Phil programs.

Our department boasts a team of 19 qualified and experienced faculty members with diverse specializations, including approved M.Phil research supervisors. Their research articles are regularly published in esteemed national and international journals.

We prioritize not only subject proficiency but also human ethics, citizenship responsibilities, and social behavior in our students’ education. With over 1000 students, we take pride in their achievements, with many securing university ranks and placements in reputed IT industries like TCS, Infosys, and WIPRO.

Our departmental association, “CSNET.COM”, organizes seminars, guest lectures, and symposiums like EXPO to hone students’ technical and non-technical skills. We also celebrate national and traditional festivals to foster national integrity.

Moreover, our students actively engage in NSS activities, contributing to their development as responsible citizens. Many have excelled in state and university-level sports events, winning numerous accolades.
